for artistsEvery member has a private Promosys account. All info provided is accessible to radio stations. Radio can stream mp3 copies of the WAVE files you have submitted. All reported rotation goes back to you as statistics. Your titles will be removed 60 days after the latest download.
Upload any interesting info about your titles, upload covers and biographies. Tell them about you, upcoming tours and any other info you think is relevant. Add your contact info with email address and telephone number.
Prices are based on 1 euro for every download, this means that you will never pay for something you don't get. You can pay via invoice or PayPal. All you need to know about upload payments and such, will be given to you during the promotion process.
Promosys is a simple, elegant and very efficient service! Being musicians we know how much time traditional promoting takes. Sending CD's to radio and press is an expensive and time consuming way to promote music. CD's have a tendency to disappear in the handling. That doesn't happen when you use Promosys. Here you digitally promote to all our members - in 20 minutes. In other words, Promosys helps you to minimize stress and maximize your production.
Promosys International has an agreement with STIM (The Swedish royalty collection agency) who co-operates with all other royalty agencies worldwide. This means that you will receive royalties via your national STIM equivalent. We also work in parallel with IFPI (Swedish member of WIN), and SOM (The Independent Music Producers of Sweden Association).
Membership is achieved via a copyright agreement, approved by all applicants. Members may only upload their own material to our site. No illegal, racist, or offensive material is allowed. Radio and journalist members agree to use all material for broadcasting and reviews only. Furthermore, all members are responsible for protecting user ID and password.
What do I commit myself to?
Promosys is free from commitments, obligations and subscriptions. No strings attached.
What does this service cost?
Apart from the price for each single promotion(1€/download/preview) Promosys is free of charge.
How do I know that my music won’t fall into the wrong hands?
All radio stations at our site are approved by us. They have access to all material through our agreement, which stipulates that the material can be used for broadcasting only. However, we do not guarantee that our service is not abused. We believe that our service is safer than the traditional handling of CD’s, partly because of the lack of written agreements with your post office, and partly because they tend to disappear.
Secrecy?
Secrecy is a non-negotiable quality at Promosys. Uploaded material is handled by our technicians during control and service only.
Who sees and hears what I upload?
Label contributions are presented on the radio member pages. Unsigned artist titles are presented on radio AND label pages.
Why is artist titles presented at label member pages?
Well, because we got this idea that it mitght create good encounters between labels and unsigned artists...
How do I know when a radio station has previewed and/or downloaded?
Streaming and downloading is shown under each respective title at the label account page.
How do I know that radio actually played my music?
Radio stations choose rotation in the download sequence. Data is gathered as specific statistics for every title and sent back to you.
We encourage radio to be as precise as possible in that process, in order to save time for both parties.
How is the internationalisation of Promosys going?
We are expanding. We are presently working with international contacts about establishing Promosys in several countries. Today, we are open in Norway and Sweden.
Can I upload a title without immediate promotion?
Yes and it is simple. When uploading you can set dates for activation on the upload page. Your material will then be placed on the Overview page, under the "Upcoming promotions" bar, until your set date.
How many titles can I upload?
As many as you like. We are currently working on the ‘multi-mix option’, where you can upload different mixes of the same title, fitting into different radio contexts.
